School starts!

Monday Cécile and Clara started school. Cécile is very happy. Clara was all excited to get dressed and put on her back-pack - but when we got to school the tears started flowing. Poor girl. I have a feeling it might take a while for her to get used to the idea.

Lucky girl!

When we arrived at home, Cécile had a special birthday present waiting from her papa - a Hermes watch! Apparently, papa thinks that being 10 years old is a "special birthday" (and I am guessing he has been missing her a lot the past 6 weeks). Mommy has already set the rule that she is not allowed to wear it to school on a swimming or gym day. Lucky girl!

Here is Cécile talking to papa on the phone as she opens it.

Bye Bye beach :(

What a beautiful way to say goodbye to a beautiful vacation spot!

Happy Birthday Cécile

Today is her "real" birthday. She was a real sweetheart because Clara wanted to open all the presents - and Cécile let her (I guess in the end what was most important was they were HER gifts regardless of who opened the wrappings)

uhm... that's not your present Clara...

Pool fun

Queen of the handstands

Perfecting the pre-teen pout

Lala wins with the perfect 3 year old pout!

A visit to Charleston

What a beautiful little city! We loved looking at the houses, but possibly the hilight of the day was stopping at the Apple store and realising that the new I-touch was just released hours earlier - we walked out of the store with 2!

I was so lucky - I got a Lala nose kiss!

We stopped at a roadside store and bought cherry and peach cider - yum!

Photographic evidence

Yes, papa, I AM reading my German book. (but I would rather be boogie-boarding)

Mommy's pancake

Cécile made me a special pancake for breakfast this morning! I smothered it with butter and it was delicious! <3

Not much new here

Every day the surf gets better and better - so we spent pretty much the entire day enjoying it! Not as many pics of Timmy and Cécile because it was hard to coax them out of the water.

Dimitri and Cécile boogie boarding

Nana, Chiara, Cécile, and Timmy enjoying the waves and the fishing boats.

Baby sand dollar

"Baby soup"

I didn't get what she meant until Lala brought me her bathing suit. Too funny! And this first pic makes me laugh - do you think she will get a sunburn on her leg?

The sky was right

it was a GREAT day for boogie boarding. And I might just say that Dimitri is borderline obsessing about it. Once he learned to ride the waves, he never looked back.
